This is a weird thread. We aren't close to war with China, in some ways they are a partner of the US and in other ways they are a global competitor, but there isn't the same tension as with the USSR back in the day. China does have horrific human abuses, and there is some level of expansion, but mostly that expansion is economic. So we shall see what happens. But making these grand pronouncements that China is our enemy or war with them is inevitable is bonkers and fact free nonsense

Yeah, that's not what happened. I am loathe to say what someone else said in Chinese because I can't read or speak Chinese, but he said something about some sort trap and that tensions between the US and China had increased during trump's presidency and to increase military spending. There was nothing about war being inevitable, and there was the tone that China wants to avoid a conflict.
Was he even there or did Kamala stand in for him?
China has had a huge buildup of its navy. Why do you think that is? When important leaders there say war with the U.S. is inevitable you have to take it seriously. We should prepare as if it is inevitable and hope it doesn't happen.
I wouldn’t trust what the Communist Party of China says or sounds like any more than I would a UPS supervisor. Their actions speak louder than their words. And if their mouths are moving they’re probably lying out of self-interest.

Maybe they have regional tension with other nation's closer to them like Japan. And how much more can America be prepared we already spend nearly 40% of all global military spending. We spend 3 or 4 times more than China.
We DID spend a lot more than China. Not so much anymore. Luckily we have analysts watching everything being done and aren't ignoring what's going on as if it's no big deal. I didn't say they're intent on going to war with us. I said their leaders have said it's inevitable that they are and they have built up their navy recently. Some of their new ships are more capable than ours. If you aren't willing to consider the obvious then you shouldn't be accusing others of gigantic, irrational leaps in logic.

The bottom line , China the US and Russia all have serious nuclear weapons if there was a war we would all be gone !!! I don't think China wants that I don't think Russia wants that and I know the US doesn't want that And if one of those crazy dictators were to do this then so be it !!! It's not like there's anything we can do about it !!! BTW If we get back into the Iran nuclear deal you can add them to the list !!!!

No China’s leaders have not said war is inevitable. Again, what they have said is tensions have increased during trump’s presidency, and they want to avoid a trap, and they want to spend more on the military, and as far as Chinese leadership’s public statements, they don’t want war with America.
