You obviously haven't read their well publicized political platform which was the driver behind it's successful shut down of the federal government in 2013. it also proved to be it's undoing.
The Tea Party was around before 2013. They were comprised mainly of seniors who were worried about losing Social Security and Medicare. They faded after Obama won re-election and especially after the 2014 midterms.

That’s a dodge. Answer the question and by the way, I’ve never had a driver leave to go work for UPS.
Why do you think employers shouldn’t?

Why should people be taxed for not only their own health insurance but to subsidize people like your employees?

Why do I lose my great insurance just because you’re a cheap ass fleecing the proletariat in an anti-union company?

So your answer is, “just cuz.” Cool way to form a political philosophy.

GO back and read their political platform which was over weighted toward overturning the ACA as well as steep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security. Protecting the three was the farthermost from their minds because a major share of their membership was comprised of preppys from very well to do families.

I think you're reading some anti-Tea Party bunk on a liberal website. The Tea Party was about preventing overspending by Obama which included the ACA. They were pro Social Security and Medicare.

And how many former members of the "Tea Party" are today enrolled in the ACA? I wouldn't be surprised if it's quite a bunch. If preserving SS and Medicare was their intent then show me their legislative proposals designed to do just that and the specific steps they contained.

I would imagine most of them either have insurance at work or are on Medicare.

The tea party played a big role in keeping social security and Medicare cuts from taking place during Obama’s presidency when the so called grand bargain was being floated around.

Completely wrong.
The religious right and freeloading SS boomers hijacked a limited government movement.
