DIAD question

This means that you can DR that package along with the others.

Void the signature, DR per the methods.
Lol wow. You're an absolute idiot. How long have you been doing this job? The sig on file means he can't DR the other packages after the customer signed for the one that required a sig. you have to void the DR and then stop complete. Lol. Only in the BOG. Lol

This happened to me a couple times driving seasonal this past peak. I couldn't stop complete it so I just voided everything, left the packages and hit package not found for all the packages. No one said a word to me about it.

I just do what the pros do and pre-record every stop and stop complete them at the center before I punch out. That way if the diad does some funny business and says I can't DR something, I can have my sup there to show me how to override it.
Man, if I did that, my turn in would take 2 hours because I would be so confused! Lol.

The sig rel allows you to DR that pkg and any others that you have for the stop.
He's saying if the customer forgot to do the electronic sig on the one package that is sig req for that stop. Even though the other 10 packages for that stop have electronic sig he still has to get a sig for the one that wasn't electronically signed for. Then you have to go back and undo the dr status for the ones that were electronically signed for or the diad won't let you stop complete the stop. Happened a couple weeks ago to me.

Dave stop being such a know it all.
There are several circumstances where an electronic signature can work for some packages but not others.

For example;
Electronic sig on file for a TV that is sig required.
2 boxes, one a TV and one a bottle of wine.
Driver has to get the signature for the wine (electronic sig does not work in this case)
But when trying to close the stop alert pops up saying electronic sig and real sig can not exist for the same stop.

If the driver in this case can not cancel the electronic sig, he should get the adult sig for only the wine, and close the stop. Then scan the TV, hit dup stop, and use the electronic sig for the TV.
I thought the same about electronic sig not working for wine, but I had one that worked just this week.

I'm currently trying to qualify. I've run into this scenario a few times. I have multiple packages for a resi. One requires a signature. I get the sig and then it won't let me stop complete it. A message pops up (I should have taken a pic of it) that says something like "Signature is on file, must void the signature or remove status from package" How do I do this? I'm wasting time fumbling around. I've asked a few people but haven't really gotten a clear answer.
You have to either delete signature or DR.. you cannont do both.. me personally I always get signatures if someone is present..

Has to be a error in the program.
Imagine the liability UPS would face if a teen drank the wine and drove.
You have to show ID at the liquor store, any kid could electronically sign.
From the UPS web site, note that it does not say electronic sig is an option for Adult Sig Required;

  • Signature Required: UPS will obtain the recipient's signature or other electronic acknowledgement of receipt from the recipient when this option is selected and provide you with a printed copy. You may also view the recipient's signature or electronic acknowledgement of receipt online.
  • Adult Signature Required: UPS will obtain the adult recipient's signature and provide you with a printed copy. Adult recipients must be at least 21. You may also view the adult recipient's signature online.
