Did The Media Visit Your Station Today?

Yes, I reported your post. I found it derogatory, and inflammatory, and not only to weasels. Sorry, pay the piper.
I was he one that moderated the two posts and I was not sure which one you were reporting and exactly what was bad.
I edited both and threw a Geez your way. It came up as kitty.

Let's see. I go to the media and sacrifice myself to make you happy? I'm always aware that you are talking from your nether regions when you start talking Express.
To make me happy? No, I'm more than entertained with your constant twisting in the wind on these threads wonderin when your coworkers will finally see the light and walk into the buzz saw as you stand back and direct the assault on Fred.

Sam,
This is where I feel I gotta say... I think there is a conflict of interest with you being a Mod. since you and MFE go toe to toe.

I believe everything you say is intelligent, I just don't think you, being a mod. now, can get into these pissing matches with members. You either need to be 100% neutral or, not mod. this particular forum due to your background. You will always be jaded no matter how 'effed up MFE is.

I have to jump in on this one because your assumption is totally wrong.
It may be that way on other sites but not on Brown Cafe, Moderators are just another member except when they are moderating.
Any member can say anything to a Mod that they can to any other member.

The only thing a member cannot do is criticize a Moderator on their moderation duties and action on the public forum. If you have a concern with moderation, contact the Mod directly via Conversation or go directly to Cheryl via Conversation.

Very intelligently said. However, incorrect. There is nothing that suggests mods should not become involved in such discussions. There is absolutely nothing wrong with heated and polararly opposed ideas. The problem would come if I deleted or edited the posts of those I disagree with. I do not, have no, and will not. That many here disagree with my opinions is a matter completely outside the function of a moderator but I have not been the first moderator to have posts reported. We aren't unbiased referees but we do have a good idea of where the terms of agreement come into play. I assure you, I have not even come close to violating those terms.

I agree with Mr. 7. If what the mods say is true so be it but members are uncomfortable with Sam being a mod and that has been hinted at many times already. It's Sam modding here specifically on the fedex forum. Many have already asked if mods have access to personal info and this is where people get weirded out. I guess read between the lines for what it's worth. No offense to you Sam.[/quote]

No offense taken...ever.
I appreciate that. I'm not being flippant. I'm just saying it's been hinted at since you've become a mod. And I know you aren't dumb just because you're part of ground. You are an intelligent enough to notice these things. By the way you have said many times that you do not have access to personal info. I believe you.

I don't know what super powers you think a mod has, but I assure you, I am far too lazy to become any good with them. I still can barely post videos here.

Express policy is that you can (read will) be fired for unauthorized interviews with the media. You always need to remember that Fedex (AND ALL COMPANIES) wants canned, pre-approved content to be spoon-fed to the media. Every FedEx station looks just like Station 1, right? I would love to be able to be interviewed, and then to escort a film crew into our station. Instant termination.

I am completely comfortable with bbsam being a mod. Despite our obvious differences, he's up for a good debate on the issues.

what have people been told when they ask if mods have access to personal information?

It's been proven time and again, you cannot trust the establishment. You should assume the worst then and not post. I think that takes care of a lot of issues around here quite nicely.

As part of the "establishment", I can only say, your personal information is about as interesting to me as the detailed expense report of a UPS terminal manager in the desert south-west: I have no access to it and couldn't interest myself in it if I did have access to it.
