Very sad that UPS got away from the clean truck policy. They look terrible nationwide these days. My father took pride in a clean truck for 35 years.

I've been on the Freight side since the beginning, only been washed once in 10 years. And that was when we were having a "Presidential" visit.
Well not so much anymore, but about 15 years ago when you Union guys were pulling our fifth wheels, locking our trailer doors, cutting our air lines, blocking dock doors, and my personal favorite, flinging crème filled donuts at our windshields, I sort of accept it now, with the "Big Brown Bully"I can see it.Do you (former) Overnite guys.... still hate the Union ?
Dirty trucks can be a biohazard. Cut yourself on a sharp corner and get tetanus or mrsa. They don't care, I don't care. Just keep the windows clean for visibility

I only heard from a driver friend that a co-worker got a cut and it became infected and had to Take some days off.Have you filed grievance on that ?
Any sort of documented case ?
Just asking.

Was usually good for adding at least an additional 30 to 45 minutes of being overallowedUse to get a lot of overtime waiting to get my car washed
I was a seasonal helper at the time.I heard, I thought, Or somebody told me.
I always said once I won a bid I'll take extra measures to keep my truck looking good on the interior.
The exterior I can't do much about since our car wash does not work. Its pathetic how dirty some of these cars are.
Are you still talking about trucks?I like it dirty

The local pkg division manager can change that.
But they are afraid....
