Maybe the commercial is simply more profitable and resi less so obviously, but the market won't allow for higher rates?
The market won’t allow for profitable rates? That wasn’t always the case. Ups allowed the market to think that was acceptable.

Maybe they need to do a better job of training customers. Ups got played by amazon. Drivers have been calling it for a decade.

Pretty sure we’ve seen it coming much longer than that.

I thought that back then when this started. I used to say, drop the S for service.
We could charge more. You can’t tell me people will gladly pay someone $10 to deliver McDonald’s to them from 4 blocks away but won’t pay for stuff they order off the internet.

People don't even know shipping rates. It's the shipper that is trying to keep the price down.

Lots of scabs out there too cutting prices.
