Elite Libs love bashing corporations over low pay, but pay even lower wages when they are the one's writing the checks.

so the solution to low wages is to give all the power to a capitalist darth vader or is it to give the power to the many workers?

High housing prices also lifts the middle class. They can go from middle-class to upper middle-class or higher through housing and real estate. It’s called investment.

its coming to a point that no matter where you go housing is unaffordable. michael hudson said the economy is turning into a slow crash because of debts. after trump was elected a few weeks ago, someone on democracy now said housing prices are rising expotentially. i think this is true because 8 years ago we rented to our tenant for 1600 and now its 3000 and 16 years ago the rent would not have been zero lol. and then what? are workers just gonna be like they were 150 years ago in debt and poor? i forgot the answer. my mom paid 1.5x her hospital clerks income to buy a nice 1 br condo in the city. is there anywhere in this country where you can pay $75000 for a condo?

This is the way the real estate bubble always works. Nothing has ever changed.. it’s boom and bust supply and demand.

i wonder what the history of real estate ownership was and if most people will own real estate in the future

i suspect george orwells prediction of 85% of the population as poor will come true if nothing changes.

The more government intervention, the worse it will get.

part of the problem i heard with housing is the govt stopped building affordable housing

housing here got bad starting 2000.

it seems like when the bubble pops its still more indebted than it was adjusted for inflation

Yes, because everybody’s aspiration is to live in government housing. 🤪

No, ricky, your parents rent to their tenant. You should also be a tenant, and pay rent.
i pay rent to my parents. many families live together. its a cultural thing my angry american friend. my and my gf will buy a place either in this country but hopefully in europe. theres a 1 br for 250k. problem is shes an accountant and travelling for 1 month every year is very important to us, so im not sure how thats going to work out for her if were here bc of weak labor laws.

id like you to imform me of the history of housing prices your grand parents paid and your parents paid and their incomes at hte time thank you very much
I'm not angry, and it's not that I don't understand. My 23-year-old daughter moved back in with me this year because of affordability, I get it. You talking about your parents' assets as if they’re yours is asinine. I don't care what you and your girlfriend do or don't do, just stop trying to kill your parents off before their time.

whered you get that

yes youre 23 year old daughter came back for economic reasons. economic reasons. cultural reasons. tell your hot 23 year old daughter to find a man and housing will magically drop 50% in price. and sign a prenup.

i will tell you about me and my sexy gf whether you like it or not... unfortunately i live in a housing bubble. but it could be worse. if we do 250k and split it between us or if i take what i have saved its not gonna be very much for either of us.

Happens every time. Unfortunately, many voters cannot comprehend that fact.

In my own state, government (Democrats) removed a large chunk of land off the table for any development in order to "save water". You need acres of land to build a home now. There was no water shortage or problems. The result? Builders switched to very high-end residential developments. Older homes are being torn down, replace by giant homes. Prices are shooting up as inventory shrinks.
