FBI Raids Mar-a-lago

She was the AG, she decided.
No she didn't. She let the FBI Director handle it. It was his decision that Clinton wouldn't be charged. And it was her responsibility but she punted. Amazingly after having a meeting with Bill on the tarmac in his private jet. Go figure.

Let me spell this out for some of you:

The DOJ would not have taken the extraordinary step to seek a warrant to search an ex-President's home to retrieve these confidential, secret and top secret/TSSCI materials if the materials in question were declassified.

They just wouldn't have risked the blowback.

The documents weren't declassified. The documents weren't planted. The documents weren't Trump's to take.

The documents are classified. They belong to our government. The warrant was legal. The search was legal. The investigation continues apace.

(I'd think long and hard about throwing support to this guy in '24, he's damaged goods)

Hope this helps.

You think Trump officially declared the Secret and Top Secret documents seized by the FBI from Mar-a-Lago this week declassified while he was still in office?
I dont understand the question. Trump says he declassified them. they are therefore declassified. I've only said that about 100 times here and you have disagreed with me as much.
Are you saying that any Secret or Top secret documents a President uses to do his job while in office are declassified?
No , one of the arguments about the most sensitive documents was that you cant remove them from the white house. I'm saying the president can do anything with them he wants. I'm saying biden has some of them with him right now.

the documents that Trump declassified and took with him were not only under lock and key but the entire facility is protected by the secret service and and others. There are not many facilities more secure than a presidential address protected by the secret service.
it completely negates the argument that trump put those documents at risk.

Yes, but it will be recorded as such.
a. it is
b. The documents are still declassified on the orders of the president and does not recquire any type of administrative processing that could slow down the effectiveness of a president to do so.

for example the president could be having a discussion with a foriegn leader and decide he needs to declassify a document to have an effective conversation or negotiation. He can then simple declare to his staff that he is declassifing that document and do so.
He does not at that point have to wait for anyone to record the declassification. If his staff fails to properly record the declassification that does not in any way negate his declassification order.
the president is the supreme authority on declassification.

Yah, yah, after a million times defending her and scoffing at mentioning her. Maybe now you realize the problem with double standards.
Hillaries case is completely different.
hillary did not have the supreme authority of classification that the president has. She should have asked for permission and did not do so. Obama denied knowing anything about it.
Hillary recieved a subpoena and responded by destroying the evidence.

hillary may actually be the reason the FBI raided Trump.

I've seen about 20 different scandels involving the AG, IRS and FBI targeting republicans. I'm not as gullible.

Are documents that Trump declassified when he was President still declassified after he leaves office or not?
Once declassified by a president yes but off course the next president could probably reclassify them. what you can't do is void trumps declassification and say he was quilty of breaking the law.

we see this scenario with every president minus the raid they gave Trump . Personally i think they all do it so they have notes for their memoirs and probably some of it memorabilia.

Link to me where the government has acknowledged the existence of these so-called declassified documents. Show me the receipts.

True, but she was a major government figure who mishandled classified documents in clear violation of the law but nothing happened to her. To allow her to skate but go after Trump for being in possession of classified documents (if that's indeed the case)then there's a clear double standard. By the way what Hillary did would not have been allowed by asking for permission to do so. There are very strict rules that govern conducting government business on government issued devices with records maintained of all transactions. Hillary violated all of that to keep the government from being aware of her using the power of her office to make lucrative deals for her, Bill, and their foundation.

The FBI has been out to get Trump for a long time. Democrats don't even deny this.

They went on a fishing expedition.

The Democrats who own them want DOJ charges for January 6, and the committee came up with nothing. So they used this as an excuse hoping to find something. Getting back the crossfire hurricane binder they're refusing to release is a sweet bonus for them.

Wahhhh Trump is a victim
Wahhhh The big old mean Dems have been out to get Trump

This is the modern right wing. Complain, play the victim, cry, whine, make up lies.

Mueller nailed him for obstruction 10 times and Barr misled the public. PERIOD

Trump solicited a foreign country to interfere in domestic affairs to help his personal political ambitions. IMPEACHED

Trump whipped up a mob to attack and interrupt a sitting Congress’ constitutional duty to buy him time to overturn the results of the election he LOST. IMPEACHED
