The excuse for the raid was National Archives documents but the FBI couldn't (legally) get a warrant unless they had fresh evidence. The stale argument about missing records isn't good enough. Pretty obviously intimidation and a fishing expedition. And it looks like the FBI was bending the law.

Or someone talked and gave them enough to get a warrant from a judge appointed by Trump.

Impeachment used to mean something before it was weaponized. When it's used for politics instead of real crimes it doesn't tarnish the accused's legacy.

One of Trump's last actions was to declassify a lot of documents and many of them still haven't been made public. Judicial Watch currently has a lawsuit against the DOJ to get them released.
