FedEx Ground Barriers to Success…A Serious Matter.

Simply reaffirms what some of us have known for quite some time. It's a poor setup to begin with. At the same time however Roadway knew the severe limitations that RPS had and operated within it's limited capabilities by staying strictly B to B.
When Fat Freddy got hold of it he tried to turn it into CHUPS. Which as you know stands for "Cheap UPS". Needless to say that it was only going to be a matter of time until you burn through your supply of cheap throwaway labor.
All the while the birth rate had been slowing combined with a growing unwillingness on the part of the smaller in number workforce to take labor intensive low paying service jobs. They wanted better more promising employment and set out to do what was necessary to become qualified for that better employment.

All the major carriers will bumble and stumble their way through another peak simply because shippers have no other options. The carrier who is best able to hold onto it's market share and find a way to best retain employees will come away just fine. The others? SOL.
Democrats in the White House are solving that problem by ripping the border wide open to all, reinforcing cheap labor.

Why do Democrats hate a living wage?

You obviously have never taken a serious look at immigration numbers. They remained about the same during the Trump years as the Obama years. Right Now the Biden administration is trying to reach an out of court settlement with the families that Trump separated at the border rather than to try and fight the numerous law suits that have been filed in court given the high probability that the plaintiffs would win.

Oh BTW, opening the border huh? According to Pew Research 2021 border apprehensions are at a 21 year high.

2021 levels are double those of 2020. Thanks to your President.

That one I do not understand.
I have a feeling that the uppers at UPS realized that Amazon would be totally boned without them, so after we dropped them, they renegotiated the contract with a tolerable rate basically saying "well, it's this or you lose us too, good luck getting those irregs and non-DSP areas delivered that the post office can't deliver due to their policies and staffing."

I really don't understand all the stuff it's above my pay grade. This as long as I have work to do in my paycheck clears every week I'll worry about that

Outside of invading there is little the US can do about the number of people arriving at the border. Furthermore Mexico has informed the US that it has exhausted all the resources at it's disposal when it comes to turning back the hoards pf people trying to get to the US border. So what do you think we should do? Invade Mexico?
And wasn't your messiah 's wall going to bring an end to this matter (lol)? It was just a publicity stunt. Nothing more.
And given that a person must be able to speak discernable English, pass a drug test, a driver's license and proof of the right to be in and work in the US all of which are unlikely the matter you've brought up has little to nothing to do with the present situation at Fedex Ground. The problem with Ground lies in it's design.
When you take a look at all of the cuts that are taken out of the shipping charges, by the time it gets down to the guy charged with the task of coming in everyday take governance over that route and get that box from Point A to Point B,.... there's nothing left.

So just exactly what does the increase in the number of migrants at the border have to do with RPS?FXG? A company that began operations back in 1985, the Reagan days....And there were people standing at the border back then as well.

Democrats could stop blocking Republican moves to secure the border.

Democrats have done their best screwing people, without impacting birth rates, so they’ve opened the border to increase the availability of bodies for your labor intensive low paying service jobs.

And FYI, my Messiah roamed the Earth a little over 2000 years ago.

Love religious people that are “Blessed in USA” and then give a rats :censored2: about the poor and the suffering elsewhere. How can you convert them. If you deport them??

And just exactly what does this have to do with the current problems at FXG? You and DIDO want to take a free website and use it as a soundboard to vent your political grievances.
The problems facing FXG are demographic, plus flaws in design making it hard to fulfill the new and widely expanded marketing strategies Fat Freddy handed wrongly believing that it could somehow find a way to adapt.. The matter of border immigration has about as much to do with the woes of FXG as it has to do with the price of eggs in China.
