Clearly you haven’t been paying attention to what’s going on in your state legislatures. Not a big shock. They're going to have give some massive blanket liability protection on par with guns.

And yet it happens daily on our highways. Even in good weather. I 80 goes through the middle of my state and several times a week there is a massive slowdown because of a truck loosing control and crashing. Usually without severe injuries or deaths, Thank God. Anyone that drives Interstates daily knows what I mean. Maybe self driving trucks would help lower the accident rate?yea i dont even want to think about a feeder pulling a heavy load getting out of control
$50,000 is the cheap end.they will force you by taking away your options. Doesn’t everyone want a $50,000 electric car?
Will there be a self driving vehicles lane only ?And yet it happens daily on our highways. Even in good weather. Just like the Covid vaccines. They're going to have give some massive blanket liability protection on par with guns.
I would like to agree with you on that. We're all so scared of our own shadows these days I can't ever believe driverless vehicles (especially trucks) will become a widespread thing. Just wait for the first few accidents that involve fatalities and settlements in the billion dollar range.
The Sultana disaster comes to mindI would like to agree with you on that.
But since recorded history, new technologies have been well known for spectacular, mass casualty malfunctions. One example that comes to mind is the steam engine.
As far as lawsuits against manufacturers, I don't think it will be allowed for them to be sued out of business.

Heck golf carts zip around at 30 mph+ in The Villages.I think self driving is going to be relegated to specific passenger only low speed areas like The Villages or Seaside Florida and other less than 20mph communities. Plus marshalling yards and office parks for trucks: again at low speed.
Well then you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about because that’s not what the government thinks.I think self driving is going to be relegated to specific passenger only low speed areas like The Villages or Seaside Florida and other less than 20mph communities. How does the government think oh wise and knowledgeable one?Well then you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about because that’s not what the government thinks.
It hates all of us equallyHow does the government think oh wise and knowledgeable one?
Well oh ignorant and and unknowledgeable one, start searching the Internet for what legislation is being passed everywhere, you typically have your head firmly implanted in a place where you cannot possibly figure anything out. Your comments are generally the most inane and uninformed on here. How does the government think oh wise and knowledgeable one?

Uber has been testing driver less cars in Las Vegas for a month or so now. I've been there a hand full of times and the driving is challenging to sat the least.I think self driving is going to be relegated to specific passenger only low speed areas like The Villages or Seaside Florida and other less than 20mph communities. So easy now to shift many of these jobs overseas. We don't even need to close schools for snow anymore.Does everybody remember the term “Essential Worker” during the peak of this pandemic.
Most of the office non union employees worked from home for the most part, this opened up the current phase of gutting middle managers.
Now it is “ big fish eating the little ones”...no more high salary, easy street do nothing positions.. sitting behind the desk and looking pretty ain’t going to cut it anymore.
