I disagree, politically I don’t know about these labels far left and far right in the American context. But the Democratic Party is not far left. AOC isn’t that far left but even if you think she is she us just one congress person.
Republican elected officials as policy want to privatize social security and Medicare and cut both programs, they are ideologically opposed to a minimum wage, and unions, they don’t support pre existing conditions protection in health insurance, they would stop all abortions under any circumstances, and their openly greatest policy goal is to deliver federal income tax cuts for the very wealthiest Americans. To me this is all very very radical policy positions. What are the radical democratic policy positions? The green new deal, paying everyone’s student loans? A public health insurance option?
Democrats may believe that America is racist and sexist and exploitive economically and therefore they want to do something about those problems legislatively, and you may not like those beliefs or that legislation, but those battles are apart of American history, they aren’t wild eyed conspiracy theories like what republicans believe. We gotta get off this far left and far right fantasy nonsense. republicans have a lot of delusional dangerous beliefs, like Obama not being born in America so he was never a legitimate potus, right now they want to over turn an election based on phony claims of voter fraud, and many republicans believe trump was recruited to be potus so he could wage a secret war against an ancient cabal of cannibalistic child molesters in the Democratic Party, big business, and hollywood. Democrats don’t believe in that level of insane bs.
