I've lived in both, both are great. But Memphis gets my vote. Beef bbq in Texas.Best I’ve had was in Kansas City, Kansas.

True story, but anecdotal Dano. A major FedEx vendor/supplier had just left MEM and either texted or emailed someone at his employer how relieved he was to be leaving the hellhole that is MEM. Problem was that he accidentally also sent it to someone high up at FedEx, whom he had apparently just finished meetings with.
FedEx didn't take it well and cancelled all business with that company immediately. Apparently Fred and Friends are really proud of Memphis. My source is reliable, and that company is no longer a supplier to FedEx.
Sure, MF, sure WINK
And you have a girlfriend... in Canada.
you have never visited third-world countriesMemphis reminds me in areas of every big city I ever been to.. Dallas, Vegas, Montreal, Toronto, Richmond, Orlando, Boston, NYC, ETC.. Some very nice areas and some 3rd world country areas.. All of them have big $$$$ companies there and all of them have 3rd world country areas.. FedEx is not the reason why Memphis has bad areas.. Look at NYC.. huge $$$ but it has the biggest hell hole anywhere..

The most exciting part of the trip was the drive to Tunica, where I wish I had a 50 caliber machine gun and an armored vehicle.
Why, because you were threatened by the all of the nothing that's between Memphis and Tunica? Seriously, it's fields, utility poles, and casino billboards.
Yeah, once you get close to Tunica. The way we went took us through some very interesting neighborhoods. Maybe you take your personal helicopter to get there.
You should go through mostly Christian neighborhoods. Perfectly safe.Yeah, once you get close to Tunica. The way we went took us through some very interesting neighborhoods. Maybe you take your personal helicopter to get there.
You wanted an armored vehicle and a .50 cal weapon for a 5 minute drive through a black part of town? Sure, that stretch of town looks po', but it's no big deal to drive through there.
Unless you have a problem with black people.

Yeah. I have such a problem that I married a Black woman.
He has a black friend too.No problems with Germantown, Collierville, or Pickwick Lake areas (all overwhelmingly white), but a five minute drive through the black part of town and you want military transportation and weaponry? "But but but I married a black woman, so that absolves me of everything LOL!"

One of my best friends, gave me rides to church in Connecticut.I spent plenty of time in the non-white areas too. Kind of sounds like you have a problem with Blacks. Projecting? Some of the locals there were not nice, which happens in both Black and White areas, especially in Memphis.
Unlike you.
