That guy near the phone is about to shoot and kill the man that kidnapped and raped his son. He knew when he was being transported through the airport so he hid hear the phones with a hand gun and blew his brains out.

1984, Baton Rouge. He got a 7 year suspended sentence, 5 years probation and 300 hrs of community service, no prison time.

They asked him why he did it, he just said that if it was your son, you’d have done the same. The judge in his case said nothing could be gained by sending him to prison and that there was a zero chance of him ever committing another crime like that.
I never forgot that case. It was 7 months before I got married. Everyone said they would have done the same thing.

Because he wasn’t a criminal. And the judge knew he was right lol.
