On whatsapp you just click on the phone icon on screen name. You can video chat too.

Just set the phone up with a few names or just yours.

If one calls, all you do is click the icon that pops up on the phone.

I don’t have Facebook I do have FaceTime on iPhone, which sounds similar and I never use it.

No problem on this end. I don't think you realize how difficult it is for the very elderly with today's technology. Some handle it fine but a lot don't. She doesn't even have a smart phone and can barely handle the one she has.
