Wherever I see Trump, it smells like he's Putin.
I live in a state that recognizes common law marriage, and so my wife was covered from the day I informed my insurer that we were considered married according to our state. We did have a traditional ceremony a couple of years later on as well, but it wasn't necessary for health insurance.

So you were forced into the marriage.

Coverage will start on the 1st day of the month following the wedding.

She has to apply to it. Send her marriage license in to insurance and it starts in the first of the month

Wifey just told me . She did it all. Got married last year

Got married on first weekend of September
Filed paperwork the next week, she was able to use my health insurance IMMEDIATELY using my card and info.
She didn't have to wait for the first of a month or her own medical cards
