I saw him a few times in Atlanta. I remember one concert where he was so drunk he kept falling off the piano seat.

Greg had one of the most soulful voices ... black or white.
Many say he was the best except for Otis Redding.

I've seen him at couple dozen times including as a teenager when the Bros use to play free concerts on the lawn at Florida State.
