I would imagine they are paying him well. I once had to kick Hank Jr. out of my seat at a music fest. He could sit anywhere (but my seat)---I had a reserved seat ticket. He was very apologetic about it and jumped right up and moved.

Met him at a Hole in the wall bar. He was there to watch his son. Cool as hell and happy to just hang out. Then the bar owner ruined it by announcing Hank Jr. was in the house. He got up and left.
