Again, we have a Federal system with certain rights and powers granted to the States. Among which we don't have an all powerful central government that dictates to the States how everything should be done. Witness the Federal government putting Federal agents in Portland to protect Federal property and Dems screaming, including on here, that Trump had overstepped his bounds, wants to be dictator, had "occupied" Portland, blah, blah, blah. There's literally no angle y'all won't exploit with the election coming up. If the U.S. was the size of those countries you mentioned with one centralized government you'd have a point. It isn't, and you don't.

Initially that foreign government was telling a pack of lies. It took time to get a sense of what happened. As for the handling within the U.S. y'all have been putting everything on Trump. Not his job.
