Las Vegas Girl Scouts hiking event cancelled after venue overbooked to accommodate Hillary Clinton rally

Troop 21 raised money and bought tickets in September for the Brownie Hiker Badge class put on by Springs Preserve on Wednesday, however when they showed up they were informed the event was cancelled, Fox 5 reported.

The Brownies' troop leader, Cheryl King, said they were told at the door that Springs Preserve representatives had called the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada last week to cancel the class.

'As I was approaching the building we saw two of the other troops leaving, kind of saddened in the face,' King said.

After the troop was informed of the cancellation, parents said that they would have taken the girls to Clinton's public event, but they were told they could not attend because they were not pre-registered.
