Hiring on Hold?

I hate to say it, but I totally agree. If you're going to move, look for another trade that's hiring in the area...maybe an electrical apprenticeship, or something of the sort. See if there are any local sort (evening positions) at the local UPS center and get your door in two places. Could be years before you're actually driving full time at UPS, why not bulk up on other marketable skills, because who knows what the future holds.

I bet if you took a welding class at the tech college you would have a job offer before class us done

Got the call today... orientation is scheduled for next week. What should I expect at orientation? Does the start date come shortly after, or could I still be waiting a while?
