How long did it take for you to become a full-time driver?

I was just wondering how long it took you guys to go full-time driving? What year did you guys go full-time driving and what part of the country are you guys in?

9 years, 6 months, 30 days, I was offered a full time job when I interviewed but declined it because I was attending college full time. Not one of the best decisions in my life.

One of our part timers took his road test today after 8 years as a p/t er. Central Calif. Going full time.

Ancient history but started P/T in 1973 in Atlanta and took 5 yrs 5 months to go to friend/T driving.

I was a preloader then a PT cover driver for a total of about 7 years.

I turned down the driving job. It took 13 years before it became avaliable to me, but I didn't wanted it. Clerking pays really well after 21 years. Really well!!

14 months preload/local sort back in 1988

6 years, 2 months as an unloader/sorter. Went friend/t in 2006, top pay next month!!! Drinks on me! Souther Cali.

Edit: If you count my temp time, it'd be 6 years, 5 months

It took me exactly 1 year and 2 weeks to go from unload to FT driving...it would have been less but I was not yet 21 when my name got to the top of the list so I got passed over twice until my birthday.
