I drink your milkshake! a metaphor for capitalism

Interesting option, but a complete twisting of the article though. From you, that doesn’t surprise me.
what do you mean twisting? you have to read between the lines and make your own conclusions as well including expanding on the idea.

richard wolff twists things a bit, but his promotion of worker freedom from capitalism is unparalleled.

the guys who really twist things are the big media. thats how we elect corrupt politicians, make the rich richer while the middle class turns poor, and start wars.

Keep making the people you idolize richer.

im not saying that and i do idolize richard wolff.

you must be mistaking what our society already does to the greedy pigs like jeff bezos, steve jobs, and your personal hero buffet
It's funny that you rip into the liberal rich. All that matter is they're rich I guess.

Your actions do not support your words. Buffet is a liberal. You should really look into his social views. A democratic workplace is difficult to manage. It is hard enough to have two partners to gat along.

Italy is a capitalist country that has harmed itself with socialist programs. It's no full of co-ops as you claim.

A large co cop is really a corporation. Maybe look at ones views before you discount them. But keep pumping up your guys, I would hate for their net worth go below 5 mil.

yea ive listened to other peoples views over the years and continue to do so. its called browncafe.

there are many kinds of coops but im concerned with the employee managed kind. you may be right about corporations but when i talk corporations im thinking minority control / top down orders kind.

the wealth my guys have is irrelevant although it may be indicative of their popularity.

says student debt is a form of slavery; debt peonage. says the debt is a claim on their future labour.

says debt is a real form of social control, and they are creating a society where everyone is so indebted that their only future is paying off debts.

instead of markets producing equilibrium which is what was theorized by some, they actually produce more inequality, contradiction, until crash. says a market system which is founded upon inequality is a very unfair system bc the rich get richer and poor get poorer which is what happened.

says under the bush admin you saw neo liberal economics and neo conservative politics. says we are now heading toward neoliberals merging with neofascism.

they talk about tech capitalism in san fran; the richest city on earth.

1/3 of the workers dont earn a living wage, 1/4 earn minimum wage.

they figure the billionaires get so rich in part because the companies are monopolies and because of exploitation of low paid workers, not to mention the consumers whos data gets sucked up unknowingly quite often.

my buddy lives and works there. the housing market is out of control. but im under the impression at least he does meaningful work.

i worked for a small biz capitalist before. i went to his house one time for a delivery. it was a massive piece of land, like a farm. but he lives near the city. it must be worth i dunno 6 or more million today. he had a king ranch ford truck. he paid the drivers barely a living wage for lifting flooring.

I feel like the people who say the only problem with capitalism is "wealth concentration" never worked in a restaurant. Even the smallest business owners often abuse, degrade, and bully their employees, who they view as servants – because they can.

Capitalism itself is unjust.

If you want a picture of the future of capitalism, imagine ultra-rich elites hiring their own private firefighters while corporate-induced climate change fires burn down everyone else's homes. Oh yeah that is also the present reality of capitalism

one example of capitalism workers vs employers owning things is stan lee vs marvel.

he made a bunch of stuff but it was someone else who truly reaped the rewards of stan's creativity.

when i was a kid i used to imagine myself as spidey.
