You must then use the term in the other direction. If you are in poverty and get free housing, the value of that housing should be added onto your income.

your quite right. i think its a standard of living.

personaly i dont think being middle class is that great because it will make you a mortgage slave for alot of your life. debt isnt freedom. but we are indoctrinated to have low expectations and so middle class is quite often the dream.
