Interview for Security Spec

My interview for security spec is in the morning. Does anyone have any insight as to what will be involved? I heard an essay and presentation. I wonder if the two are on random things or stick to the same theme like why I am the best man for the job and fedex philosophy.

Almost everyone on this forum is an hourly. My guess is that if you're anti-employee, anti-union, and paranoid, you're well qualified for the job.

Seriously, you probably don't want to work for FedEx. No longer a quality organization.

Security would be an interesting gig just because of the sheer creativeness of some of the people who steal or fudge numbers. The salary isn't bad and it's a significant step up from a courier.

OK, then you should already know better. Reading some books about the KGB, Gestapo, or other secret police/propaganda organizations could help you.

Oh, please. Not everyone who works in security is an . Just do your best to stay out of their cross hairs and there won't be a problem.

You're really clueless. Anyone who takes a Security position is automatically a company hack, or they'll shortly be looking for another job. If you worked for Express, you'd know that, or did your handlers tell you what to say?

It's the same personnel for Ground and Express (Corporate). If your security specialist is a jerk, then I'm sorry for you. The one for my region happens to be a nice guy and great to kill time talking to but I make it a point not to be the target of his investigations.

Gotta love the hit man. The guy they call in to follow drivers/contractors when FedEx wants to terminate a contractor.
I don't even remember the last time I saw one. They used to follow guys and give them a warning if they had a bulkhead open or some other security issue.

Having the bulkhead open is the only way to tell if the backdoor is closed when we leave a stop!

1 of our security guys was following a driver to figure out how he was stealing packages. Turned out, he caught another person following the driver and stealing the packages. Once the the chick was arrested and photos circulated, it turned out that several drivers recognized her from seeing her on route.

They actually do some good at times. However, at FedEx, Security is more of an internal police/SS arm as opposed to an investigative one. I wish they'd focus more on problems like the one you described.
