Is Iran Next?

Susie, The Shah of Iran was evacuated out after riots broke out that could not be contained. A friend of mine was on the helicopter that flew him out to the airport. The military choppers that escorted him out fired the rockets and heavy machine guns on the crowded streets below, even though there was not any incoming fire. Killed hundreds if not thousands, including women and children. The Shah, it was disclosed, had cancer and died shortly there after.

But of course you knew that already, but you did ask for some reason.:confused:1
dBoy, weren't those riots the start of the [wiki]Iranian Revolution[/wiki]? The revolution that put the Ayattollah Khomeini into power? Didn't the Shah promote a Western style government, friendly to both the USA and Israel?

Point being, the Westernization of Iran has been replaced with an Islamic theocracy which is in the process of spreading to Iraq.

Your theory on Iran promoting a theocracy in Iraq is as valid as mine on the great twinkie shortage. In fact Iraq is moving towards a representative democracy that will respect all religious views. As each hurdle is cleared Irans ability to influence the politics of iraq will diminish. A few more western snacks airlifted into Iran and their theocracy may very well diminish.

I guess that 'representative democracy' in Iraq will be Shiite, with a constitution based on Islamic Law.

What a fine thing to have our sons and daughters die for.

Have another Twinkie, wash it down with some Kool-Aid. It seems to work for you.

Sorry darling. Hate to ruin your pessimistic view of world events but I don't share your vision.

Tieguy.....how could there possibly be a Twinkie shortage? Those things have a shelf life of "infinity" !!

I wanted to respond to the assertion that twinkies have an infinite shelf life. This is in fact true and I have proof. You should see the shelf that the twinkies built around my wasteline and it won't go away either!

IMO, Worthy of reading for thougths on the subject at hand.

Uh the subject is Iran, not twinkies!

Indeed it is. Nothing surprising in the article that I saw. I do believe that we are engaged in an exercise of region building in the middle east. Now when Iran looks over at its neighbors backyard he will see this hulk of a man flexing his enourmous biceps. Thats us. I saw a piece the other night on one of the educational channels on Iranian women and their daily lives. I was impressed with how backwards their lifestyle was and how they were kept in check with religious fanaticsm. Whether religious or not I recognize that religion can be misused by mankind to keep people ignorant and oppressed. One of the things that has impressed me with one of the underlying problems with this region is the religious fanaticism of those people and how easily they can be stirred into action by some mulah speaking out. Here in the US we would look at the priest or pastor and say "you want us to do what?" and "because why?". There they immediately go running off in whatever direction that Mulah points them.

Thats where exposure to westernization I believe will eventually calm the nerves. Watching the catholics quietly prey in St. Peters square, listening to various news channels where the days issues are debated. Watching movies that continously portray terrorists as crazed killers yes even the cokes , pepsi's and twinkies. All will give them a means to compare their lifestyle and mindset to the rest of the world. Nationalistic pride will encourage them to retain their core sets of values while rejecting many that only a western awakening can help them shed. Exposure is the means and our glamourus western lifestyle the true atomic bomb that eventually wins the war. JMHO

You could say that. It is being reported today. The report in question was dated earlier in the year, but leaked today. I suppose you had seen the report back in July, being so connected and well informed.

Yep . Lot of small countries out there that would like to have nukes and will try to develop their own programs.

Should we intervene militarily if needed to keep them from developing these programs?

As an immigrant from Germany, I find your avatar extremely offensive. But then again, that is you personal style, to be as offensive as you can get by with, but yet cry foul when someone posts something you think is offensive.

But then again, it (the avatar) speaks to a subconscious mindset that you seem to have. You are 100% right, and any one that disagrees is totally wrong and needs to be silenced and squashed. I can see where you might think that you and the avatar have much in common.

Funny, somehow I heard about france and germany selling parts and technology to the Iraqi's back 2-3 years ago, why not to Iran as well. And now their intel says that Iran has the technology? Wow! I sell it to them, then I discover they have it.

Still not too sure but some of what was thought to be in Iraq was moved to Iran. But somehow I don't think the truth in that matter will ever be known.

What is known is that countries that we showed how are now supplying the third world with the technology that can be used for war. Unfortunately the genie is out of the bag and will not be put back. And while Nukes are currently not something you can build in your back yard as a boyscout program, they are too commonplace for my liking.

Funny, you didn't have a problem when someone else used a Stormfront logo for their avatar.

It's Cartman, from Southpark. I take it you are not a fan.
