Taft Hartley (multi-employer) plans are not exempt, however the "cadillac tax" has been delayed until 2020 with new attempts to delay until 2025, and then only if the ACA remains as it stands.
Only the portion of costs associated with medical services are included and then only the costs over the thresholds would be taxed.
