I didn't see where over 75 percent of Americans didn't want Iran getting nukes meant only by diplomacy. You said that.

It should be understood that 60 to 70% dont want war.

Just because a person doesn't want war doesn't mean that can never change as situations change. Obviously if it can be negotiated to get Iran to comply that would be ideal. But let's just say Iran tells the US to pound sand and continues on present course (regardless of Israel), then the next step may need to happen. At that point you would have to see if Americans would be ok to send bunker busting bombs etc.... It's not either this or that only
