republicans always do this with presidents. Idolize them in weird ways. I was a kid in the 1980's and Reagan was potus, by the time Clinton was running in 1992, republicans were saying I am a Reagan Republican, I have never heard a single democrat saying they are an FDR democrat or a Kennedy Democrat or a Johnson Democrat or an Clinton Democrat. It's weird as if one person emobodies you whole political ideology.
They praised Reagan as the prototype conservative potus for decades after he was no longer in office. Some called him saint ronnie. When GWBush was potus, republicans were doing stupid portraits of him too, saying he was a war time potus that he had been chosen by GOD to be potus, and he was this masculine man scaring terrorists. LOL
Now they are doing that same weird thing with trump. all of those paintings, the belief that trump was selected by GOD to be potus, that he is a masculine man scaring the libs/terrorists/immigrants/etc, truly bizarre stuff.
