We can go down a huge rabbit hole if you’d like. There are plenty of academic works that explain the phenomenon of broken families in America as it relates to Black people.

There is an inverse relationship. As they've gotten more recognized rights, higher living standards, and all the rest, their family structure has steadily collapsed worse.
Marriage and in-wedlock child birth rates for blacks were fine 100 years ago. They're not fine now.
You can't say social or economic forces caused it when they have in inverse relationsihp.

They were more prosperous with intact families in the 50s even without the civil rights act. Democrats destroyed them with welfare.

It's a true statement, but it's a misleading statistical artifact.
Their families are so broken that the stay at home wife basically doesn't exist. Therefore, they get 'credit' for having high labor force participation when it means mama has a part-time job and a ton of welfare. Then they get to act like they're totally not living off the government.
