My God those were some loaded questions. I'm absolutely surprised that he didn't stick his foot in his mouth. I do disagree however on the middle class absolutely needing a tax break. Well I mean I would like a tax break, but with a recession in the midst cutting tax breaks on people who create jobs seems to me like putting fuel to the flames. I would rather keep my job than have an $1100 dollar tax break. That wouldn't even cover 1 months mortgage payment.

Definitely a hard-nosed, antagonistic interview.
Exactly the kind of interview that Republicans and Libertarians get subjected to everytime they get interviewed on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and especially MSNBC.
The lack of "journalistic integrity" shown here is exactly what the 70% of non-liberals in the US perceive of the main-stream press day in and day out.

I was thinking the very same thing when I read your first post in this thread. Obama said himself that his plan was to spread the wealth. There is no denying that fact. Twice in Biden's lame answers he said Obama did'nt want to spread the wealth. He said it was Bush's administration that was spreading the wealth and condemned them for it. HE did go on to explain their tax plans, that are very much socialist in theory and indeed a plan to spread the wealth. Too bad it won't work.Did you all watch the same video?

What is funny is your claim that he "owned her", the look on his face and his asking if this was a real question just showed that "ole Joe wasn't expecting to be asked a real question but be handled with kid gloves as he is getting used to by the "Big Three" networks.
Of course she moved on, he lamely answered her question and she went to the next question, then had time to go back to the previous question to see if he would change his answer. And basically he just said that only far right wingers think Obama's spread the wealth or not spread the wealth plan is socialist. Not much of a smack down.

Agreed. Joe lost his cool with this interview. He was obviously used to getting softballs served to him. He could never cut it as a republican getting grilled by the liberal press everyday.
Actually, the argument could be made that he has/does have those kinds of associations, it's just that his opponent has taken a higher road.

I have seen it and it reminds me of the interviews of Obama and Biden by Campbell Brown, Charlie Gibson, Brian Williams, Tom Brokow, Katie Couric and so on.
Barbara West's interview of Biden reminded of these same "supposed" news people interviewing John McCain and other Republicans.
Doesn't seem so fair when the shoe is on the other foot, does it?
Actually, I thought Biden handled the situation well, but thought the questions were ill concieved.
I would hope that all of our candiates would subject themselves to tough, fair, questions. Sadly that hasn't been the case.
I'm assuming that you are aware that the 'reporters' husband is a GOP operative?

I thought Biden did well too... especially in this ambush situation.
The questions were fair if you were a Republican supporter.
Based on the interview, I would have thought she was a Republican operative...most of the interviewers on CNN, ABC and MSNBC appear to be Democratic operatives.
