Pensions are a ponzi scheme. They require current workers to pay for retired workers.

The problem is the majority of industries with pensions are dying, or losing workers to technological advances reducing the number of needed workers. Not enough new blood to keep the scheme going.

and solution?

Convince more industries and workers to choose to organize and join a union with a troubled pension system. Or, let the ponzi scheme end and replace it with something else.
