How much insurance would you get if you didn't go with guaranteed benefit for spouse? Do you plan for the difference per month? How long? What kind of plan do you go with?
I would talk to a financial planner in your area. I would say take half of the reduction and see how much insurance that will get you. My adviser is checking on this for me and will provide some plans the next time we meet.
