I'm not going to be surprised if the Trump haters turn out in huge numbers there and in other purple States to win the White House. But it won't be because of New Green Deal proposals. And if you try to implement them causing economic harm then the Republicans will win big in the next election. Then y'all can scream about how the Norwegians influenced the election in favor of the Republicans.

Medicare for all who want it polls at around 65% approval. I think that flys with the public. The people want a public option. Republicans led by Trump want to eliminate the ACA and remove protections for people with pre existing conditions.
When people realize how much their taxes will go up with Medicare for All they won't be so approving. And as we all know from 2016 poll results depend on who you ask. In other words don't trust a Democrat pollster.

Public option is an option that allows people to buy in to Medicare, no tax increase. It creates actual competition for the for profit insurance companies. 2018 showed what happens when people know the Republican health insurance plan of Repeal and go friend yourself.
Except it's their goal to eliminate for profit insurance with a single payer model. And Bernie admitted taxes would go up.

I watch all the debates, see all the quotes. That's exactly what the Dems are pushing. We already pay a Medicare tax for seniors. And you think taxes won't go up if we extend Medicare to everyone?

Public option is what Trump outa do. It gives dignity to the working class. Max price is based on lower income brackets. This will be better than the no pay anything crowd. How about we rebrand the Obama death panels to do the eligibility litmus test.
The Medicare for all option will cost an estimated 33 trillion over 20 years but what Rush Limbaugh and Fox News isn't telling you is that healthcare costs under the current system over the same time span will cost 45 trillion. But rest assured VT that if the Medicare public option is the only affordable health insurance option you've got at the time you'll sign up for it and will be damn glad it's there.
As usual what you aren't saying is it the middle class that will be hammered the most. Families making between $75k and $100k will be looking at $12k to $15k in new taxes. Families making $50k to $75k are looking at $7k to $10k. Some of that will be offset by not paying for insurance at work but for most families that's a big increase. And for a lot of them that's money spent that they'll see little if any benefit from.

Why do you feel the need to openly lie? There is no republican promoting the elimination of pre-existing conditions. Point of Sale... known as POS.
Moderates normally would vote against Trump despite a good economy because he’s an enormous prick and terrible human being.
But moderates also will not have any part in taking the Country to hard left crazy town just because Trump is the worst. That’s the Democratic Party’s problem.
When the Democratic Presidential candidates stand on the debate stage and say, for example, that they want to legalize undocumented border crossings and provide free healthcare to those who do make it across, they wound the Democrats’ 2020 chances greatly.
Stuff like that flies so hard against what most moderates (and probably even most people in general) would consider to be common sense that they’d rather let the enormous prick and terrible human being remain in office than see that actually happen.
