Media Bias

Old Man Jingles

Rat out of a cage
He also with "integrity" steered the news to constant stories about wasteful military spending while never focused on massive welfare spending that didn't alleviate poverty but did make a lot of politicians rich. Uncle Walter gave us a warm fuzzy feeling while manipulating us. Exactly why transparency is important.
He had his reporters that he chose ... Dan Rather was an example that was always biased and fudged or lied in his stories.

The Associated Press Stylebook, whose standards are followed by countless outlets, last week announced new guidelines around reporting on riots. AP suggests replacing “riots” with “milder” terms such as “unrest.”

Two of the attendees, one of whom moderator Lester Holt identified as a Hillary Clinton voter who had "voted Republican in the past," appeared on MSNBC back in August and were both identified by the network as Biden voters.

"If we get four more years of Trump, good luck. And good luck with the future attracting younger voters," Florida voter Peter Gonzalez said during an Aug. 21 program.

The Free Beacon also uncovered pro-Biden and anti-Trump social media posts from two other so-called "undecided voters" from the town hall.

This is whole media bias delusion amongst republicans is because republican policies aren't really popular. We pretend to have these huge policy differences in America, but amongst American voters there really aren't that big of policy differences. Americans like social security, medicare, Medicaid, they want the government to spend money on education, and healthcare, they want a minimum wage, they want disability to be paid, they want worker protections and environmental protections, they even want families to have housing and "welfare" and food stamps when they are down on their luck for the most part. None of these programs are unpopular. And make no mistake republican elected officials want to get rid of all of those things, that's their actual legislative agenda. But they can't talk about that agenda, so they do two things, they say ok Americans you may like those programs in principle, but those programs are helping undeserving people, members of groups people you hate and fear, this message really resonates with so so many voters, it even resonates with democratic voters, and secondly republican elected officials talk about bs culture war nonsense like the media is out to get us, Hollywood, the education system, big tech, are all out to get us, political correctness, coastal elites, and this is the other thing that resonates with a lot of voters.

Didn't happen under Bush, hasn't happened under Trump. All those programs are still there Mr. Fearmonger.

You can see, the elected republican official's strategy of never talking about their actual policy positions on display with Ted Cruz getting into it with Mark Cuban over the NBA ratings. Why the hell does Cruz a sitting US senator care about NBA ratings when there is a global pandemic that's killed over 210,000 americans or the real economic pain occurring as a result of this pandemic? Because he has no solutions to deal with those issues that don't involve cutting taxes for billionaires and huge corporations and allowing them to pollute more. So it's bs about the NBA because of BLM. This is why republicans are trying to treat coronavirus as a bs identity/culture war issue instead of a health issue, because if coronavirus is just a health issue, then they have failed miserably and have no policy ideas to deal with it, but if it is a culture war issue, then they can lie and pretend everyone is out to get the them in the media, etc. They can pretend not wanting to get coronavirus is a anti-trump political position and that real Americans aren't afraid of coronavirus. You see this with Tom Cotton and trump mentioning the 1619 project and stopping anti-american history from being taught in schools, this bs is what elected republicans want to discuss at the national level instead of their plutocratic economic positions. What is one popular policy position republicans support at the national level? It's hard to think of one off hand.

It didn't happen because those positions aren't popular, but those are the stated policy goals of elected republicans, when they talk about getting rid of entitlements, they mean social security and medicare and Medicaid. republicans want to get rid of the minimum wage. Like this is a real policy position, they say the minimum creates unemployment by keeping certain low skilled workers out of the labor force. What is one popular policy position elected republicans support? Seriously this should be easy for republican voters to name. I can't think of one off hand though. That's why I say republican voters in general don't care about policy.

Just checked NBC's so-called fact checking web page. Nothing their on Harris repeating the Charlottesville lie or the President paying millions in taxes? Very strange they would leave out such big parts of the debate?

She left out a key part of the Presidents remarks on Charlottesville on purpose, as did she leave out key facts reported by the NY Times about the President paying millions in taxes!

It will be fine

Pretending employer matching taxes are the same as income tax is idiotic. That’s probably why most reasonable people leave them out. Trump never fully rebukes white nationalists because he needs their support and he’s afraid of losing them.
