Might drones replace trucks for package deliveries?

Perhaps.

Just two considerations.

I live on a street lined with old, very large trees. How are the drones going to navigate through them?

I live on a street that has three or four UPS deliveries every day. Which is more cost effective, three or four drones or one truck?

Lol! Ridiculous. Every bulk stop would look like Alfred Hitchcock's The Drones is descending upon the town.

This company is so ready to phase out our drivers it's really kind of sad. They will happily accept any have baked idea as long as it phases out the driver aspect. There are so many unknowns with this i don't see this happening in 30 years.

drones would out compete a driver on cost on basically any route that hits 120+ miles

i could see them used for EAM's and NDA's country-wide within 20 years, maybe 10-15 if the FAA will allow it
