The difference is we already admit over a million people a year from other countries who arrived legally and properly vetted. We don't know who exactly is coming here illegally and many were criminals in their own countries and commit crimes here, some extremely violent, heinous crimes. Furthermore when you have entire families showing up it puts a serious strain on our social services to assist them. And a large percentage are coming here infected with covid. People on this forum will argue all day about how we should be vaccinated but turn a blind eye to all the illegals coming in already infected and dispersed all over the country. Finally it's up to other countries to develop their economies and give their citizens better lives. Not our responsibility. If their citizens aren't being taken care of they need to kick out their government. Happened in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union, much to the chagrin of many liberals here. When countries go in the other direction, like Venezuela, and ruin their economies, it's pushed that we should take millions of them in. No, they created the mess, let them climb out of it. It's time the U.S. put its citizens first. Otherwise we're getting dragged towards poverty for many of us.
