Clearly, Rush was a delusional narcissist.
We'll probably hear 30 stories like this. US government should have seized the company & assets as a crime scene.

It's toxic, know-it-all, intolerable personalities like that who push boundaries, make discoveries, and sometimes succeed.

It's ironic but If it weren't for idiots like that we'd still be in the stone age.

i agree and thats why i like jesus christ, the matrix, and george lucas

but the problem was james cameron said deep sea submarines is not a new science

A retired US Navy submarine captain with nearly 6 years worth of time spent underwater pretty much echoed what we've been saying on yesterday's CBS Sunday Morning episode.

Quick summary:

Failure because of the use of 3 dissimilar materials: Carbon fiber, titanium and plexiglass for the porthole. When you have different materials with different molecular structures/different coefficients of expansion and compression, and you add repeated cycles in depth, you're going to work a seal loose.
