We don't get that off in the central. However, holidays we do work (i.e. day after Thanksgiving) are double time plus the 8 hour holiday pay.

Didn't they change the name of Columbus Day to something more politically correct? Like Indigenous Peoples' Day?

Few people get off Columbus Day other than government employees. Not even in Columbus.
