I know this isn't attendance but its more people tuning in now. Id say for the fans nascar lost, they gained more. even if temporarily.

It’s the best sport to watch for an afternoon nap. Watch the start, drift off for an hour or two and check back in for the finish. It’s perfect white noise. It’s too hard to follow in person, it’s neat to see the actual speed but the novelty wears off quickly.
