New boots Bragging Thread.

Spent $180 on red wings and the seams had split like 2 weeks after purchase. Went back with my bank statement (threw out the receipt cause I assumed I wouldn't need to return a nearly 200 dollar pair of boots) and then they claimed that I didn't have an account with them. You need to make and account to get something there, so they screwed me out of $180. I spent 70 bucks on a pair of sketchers low cut boots and they lasted me since last summer so far. Red wing can off

Too much---I'm more of a 10 buck to 12 buck flip flop kind of a guy. Actually the majority of mine were free. Got them using Coke points

There are 3 things I don't ever cheap out on; work boots, tools, and guns. There are plenty of other, much less critical areas of life to pinch pennies in.

Bought my last Thorogood's in 2012 and they are almost due for replacing or repair. I'd have them repaired but there is finally a small hole developing by the toes. I could go another 6 mo. with these before next winter, though. Very durable union-made footwear.

I just bought low top red wing sneakers for summer and have waterproof boots for snow and winter. They haven't failed me yet. Pricey, but a good tax write off.

My wife and I have an agreement.

She will continue loving me even after I am fat and bald and need Viagra.

I will continue loving her even after her hair gets gray and her boobs get saggy.

There will be no fake boobs or Rogaine or Hair Club For Men plugs or Botox in our marriage. I can certainly understand the need for a woman to have restorative surgery after a mastectomy, but the idea of mutilating ones mammary glands in order to make them stick out further just seems sick and bizarre to me. To each their own I guess.
