Every once in a while I am tempted to dig it out so Joeboopup could see how we used to do it in the stone age.

I have emulators and the ROMs of those old games on newer computers. I don't mess with C-64 much but do the Sega Genesis and N64 ROMS. I also have tons of old games I use DOSBox (with DOSShell) to run.

For a new gaming computer the most important and expensive part is probably a good graphics card. For web browsing or casual gaming its not that important but crucial to the hardcore gamers.
