Now I'm confused. how did she know he worked for ups? I didn't have his # in my cell so I couldn't call him. I took about a 40 second video of her talking to me along with her license plate and the plate of the truck. We don't have the best response time here, and I wasn't armed. I drove off and made a couple of calls and found out he was alive and well and he didn't know about anybody going to his house. He told me he had some of his old ups shirts hanging in his garage, and that's how they knew he worked here.

When I got around the block, the people were getting in their cars and were about to leave, so I pulled up and blocked their vehicles with my 3/4 ton pickup. Lady came out to my truck and I said wassup? I asked if anything happened to the guy who lived here because I know him. She said he had passed away, and did I work with him at UPS? I said yeah
They could be family. Or could be thieves. Maybe they seen some Ups awards or old uniforms.

My wife says I'll be the best dad ever because there's no way they will be as annoying as me and will likely decide it's just better to behave. Lol

Kids are awesome, but they can definitely be annoying. Patience is key. I grew more and learned a lot more between my two. Maybe that's why my second is my masterpiece. Lol.

You did the best you could. Maybe they will catch them. Thanks to you.

I drove back, but they were gone. I contacted someone with the police and they said if the retired driver didn't file a complaint, they couldn't do anything. His attitude is there wasn't anything in there worth stealing. My thought is, maybe they are robbing house all around there, and I have them on video. I'm kinda frustrated. My wife said I should have blocked them in and called 911.

Maybe they had guns and you didn't.

Not worth getting killed for furniture.

You did the right thing.

Not a chance. I'd say you were spot on. As a woman that might work. Might. Because they are less likely to physically assault you. As a man you have to decide if it's worth possibly getting a beat down over.

I'm still going to the police and show them the video. maybe they can run the plates and at least keep an eye on them. I feel like they probably live nearby. The damn woman had handicapped plates on her car. Now I'm pist all over again.

I hate frickin thieves. I hate that they were so smooth and bluffed me. I hate that they got away with it.

They didn't bluff you. If they had, you would have left it alone after that. You knew something wasn't right, so you investigated more. Maybe you can talk your friend into filing a complaint if for no other reason than to stop them from ripping anyone else off. What happens if they go in the wrong house next time and someone is killed?
