You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
So sorry to hear that, Brownslave. Even if she tells you she's ok, she's not. Lots of hugs and holding needed.
She's not ok. I could hear that in the phone call.

Sucks because she really didn't want to tell anyone until after 12 weeks. I pushed her to tell everyone at the party.

I've been there. Nothing makes it better except time..... And the hugs and holding.... For both of you.

Don't be surprised if a month down the road, she sees a baby on TV and starts crying. Part of the grieving process. It's not easy, regardless of what people might say.

Don't feel bad that you convinced her to reveal it early. You were excited.

This.

I know it happens a decent amount. The problem is women don't want to talk about it (understandably) so it's developed a bit of a stigma around it.

I don't know if it is as much stigma as a very painful thing. You retreat in the face of pain like that. Unless a person has lived it, they don't understand how it feels, and kind of minimizes it to make themselves feel more comfortable about it.

That’s Craptacular
Btw guys...keep eyes on your credit card statements. I was checking my balance due on my Visa card yesterday when my DD arrived...and I noticed an unauthorized charge at a big box store I've never been to. Someone stole my info.....card has been cancelled but still...what a PITA.
