Just in case anyone is considering getting into sprintcar racing here is what the team owner spent yesterday that I saw.

fuel $100.00
entry fees for the crew $160.00
2-rear tires for the racecar $427.00
dinner for the crew + 2 others $176.00

And the sprintcar was never even taken out of the trailer.

I saw recently that new Corvette street tires cost over $500 EACH! Crazy.

You know if you're rich and you have fun doing something I guess its not about the money you spend---its about getting some enjoyment out of life. I'm LUCKY enough that I know a couple of guys like that and I'm more than willing to help them enjoy life wether its flying planes or racing cars.

I once got a bill from the local John Deere dealer for repair on the townships mower for something like $117.00. Parts were $1.25 and the rest was labor.
