They aren't close to the same though. If you put Josh Wise in the 4 car and Kyle Busch in the 98 car you aren't going to have the same results. The cars aren't as close to each other as you think.

So is every other sport. But I like the technical features of that strategy. How .5 psi can make the car turn better and go faster. How a 2 tire stop can make you track position fast, but hurt you on the track. It's a game of risk.

They don't like all the downforce from the car. That doesn't make them all alike. All the bottom teams complain they can't keep up with the big teams because of all the money they put into the cars. If they're all the same why wouldn't they be able to keep up?

A few years ago I won a sales lead contest. The prize was a weekend for two at Watkins Glen, including hotel, food and VIP passes. WG is a road course which means you get to watch about 5 seconds of actual racing and then you sit and watch the big screens until they come back around. I tried to sell it and had no takers. I then tried to give it away but was told that I had to go. I went with a friend of mine and we had more fun walking around Ithaca (NY), which is a college town, then we had at the race (neither of us are NASCAR fans).

Nope hate the bowl system. And I hate that they act like they have done some awesome thing with the playoffs.
Should be 8 teams people hve only been saying that 30 years or so.

Pocono is a great track to watch them at. If you're at the entrance to turn 1 they're buzzing past you at about 190. Road courses suck for fans.

The problem with going from 4 playoff teams to 8 adds another game to an already long season. Its to the point now where what teams are healthiest at the end of the season will probably win it.

Ok but how many times can you watch a car drive by you at 200 mph? After 5 minutes I would think that gets boring.
To me it's a sport that doesn't lend itself to live viewing at all.
