Hawk is possible but I think more likely an owl that has been terrorizing the squirrels. Or maybe a raccoon dragged it up there to eat later. It wasn't on the roof of the house but on top of a patio cover that is lower and flat.
It's still weird. Last thing I expect to find on my roof.
