He can't. He's smartened up and become a scab.

The horror you must have suffered through. Poor, poor thing.

Heartless.

Really! Do you know how many menus you have to go through in a BMW just to change the radio station?

And, don't get me started on people who let their satellite subscription run out before they trade.

Want to take a break and run local sort for me? I think the new sup is going to look for a new job after tonight.

Sorry, my pension plan won't allow me.

Let me know when you drive a Lexus LX or GX. :)

Got it. Might be a while, though. The group I work for doesn't have a Lexus store, but every now and then the Toyota store will pick one up for a customer.

Edit: Holy crap!!! They had the BMW listed for 47K before it went to auction!!!!

He'll be fine, I'm going to be there to help him. I'm just trying to find a balance between letting him figure it out, and ensuring we aren't going to find ourselves with our pants around our ankles.
Like the mama bird does.......sometimes you just gotta push them off the ledge.

But it just gets worse from here right?
Yes and no. Today will end up being his first taste at peak in a supervisory role. So I'm going to let him run it as much as possible. If he makes a move I know will screw everything up I will step in. Today will be his big test. He was like my right hand when I was PT Sup, and I trust him quite a bit. But the view is very different now.

It's up to you to tell what you're comfortable telling and I don't even know what you'd have access to as far as projections.

But are we looking at another yo-yo peak like last year? How much more volume are we expecting?

The projections are looking like a 5-10% increase. I usually like to add another 5% on top of that for a safety margin.

I was looking at the numbers through Jan 1 last week. Peak day for ground pickups will be the 14th. Peak days for air the 21st-22nd.

I assume we will be getting slammed on Mondays again.

For pickups at least. We're going to do 7 times normal local sort volume our top day.
Monday's were our largest delivery days all of last year.

I assumed it was because we were picking stuff up on Saturdays and moving more than normal on the weekends.
