I very rarely by beef anymore because of the high sticker price. A good brisket you need a second mortgage.

I also get "sticker shock" when I walk by the meat counter. I have found that if I get to the supermarket early enough I can take advantage of any mark downed meat, which I will buy and then put right in to the freezer when I get home.

You shouldn't have to take out a second mortgage to buy a good cut of steak.

With chicken going at 88 cents a pound, we switched for awhile.
