The crazy smoke alarms......when the battery is low, it beeps, irritatingly to let you know. It was beeping at 2:00 A.M.
Another half hour and I probably would've been up anyway. No rest for the wicked.....like my mom used to say.

I just changed the batteries in mine. I do it when time changes so I don't forget.



... I did yank the battery out of one smoke detector when it started beeping and forgot to put in a new battery once though.

They tell you to change the battery when we change the clocks...I think it's the battery companies that suggest that......the battery we just changed was from 2012. So, it's one day of grogginess versus the extra costs of batteries. We have 4 or 5 smoke detectors. It doesn't always go off at night.
